Accessibility at Shoe Gallery

Shoe Gallery has served Miami since 1979, and we want everyone to be able to shop with us, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We design and test shoegallerymiami.com against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we do

• Every product photo has a text description.
• Pages use a clear heading structure and labeled regions, so you can jump straight to what you need.
• The site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and controls meet color contrast minimums, and pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed.
• We test the shopping path (browse, choose a size, add to cart, go to checkout) with a keyboard and a screen reader, and we test again when we make changes.

Things outside our direct control

Checkout, sign-in and account pages are provided by Shopify, which maintains its own accessibility program. Some features come from other companies, such as live chat and payment buttons. If one of them gets in your way, tell us and we will help you finish your order another way and raise it with the vendor.
