Fly Boutique: The MiMo Vintage Maze Worth Getting Lost In
Take a quick trip down Biscayne Boulevard from Shoe Gallery and you land at Fly Boutique, a vintage and designer consignment shop in the MiMo (Miami Modern) District. Fly got its start on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach in the 1990s and has been on Biscayne for more than a decade, and Miami & Beaches says it has a longtime reputation as one of the area's top vintage and consignment shops. This is the kind of spot you walk into for five minutes and leave an hour later.
First Impressions & Vibe
Miami & Beaches puts it well: walking in feels like stepping into someone's home as you browse your way through a maze of vintage furniture. Miami New Times described men's and women's clothing sections set around antique furniture, art and collectibles at the center of the store, and some of the decor is for sale too, so look twice before you assume something is just part of the room.
Do not be shy about asking for help. Miami New Times also gave a shout-out to the knowledgeable staff who guide shoppers through it all.
What to Shop
Fly stocks vintage dresses, boots, bags, hats, jewelry and more, with many pieces dating from the 1920s to the 1990s. Designer names turn up too, with Miami & Beaches pointing to Chanel, Dior and Hermès at a fraction of the original price. Miami New Times, which named Fly the Best Vintage Clothing Store in 2019, called out midcentury dresses, designer shoes and quality leather goods like jackets, belts, boots and luggage, and Modern Luxury has even spotted Blahniks and Pradas in good shape.
The home side runs just as deep, from 1960s lamps to midcentury modern and postmodern furniture and global finds, all arranged to give you ideas for styling your own place. Zagat once called Fly a "hidden consignment gem" where artsy lamps, velvet couches and rotary phones turn up. The selection is always changing, so if a piece speaks to you, do not wait on it.

The People Behind It
Fly is a husband-and-wife operation: owner Jean Marie de Bernardi and her husband, Maximiliano. Miami New Times reported in 2019 that the two carefully inspect and handpick each item. The shop has real fashion history, too. Miami & Beaches notes it was a haven for costume designer Patricia Field when she was buying pieces for Sex and the City.
