Run It Back
Two days on 79th Street · After Hours + the block party
Miami, FL · July 2026
Two days in July, The Herd and HOKA turned our corner of 79th Street into something you had to see for yourself. Night one was an invite-only dinner built around the all new Clifton Pro. Day two was a race, a community 5K, and a block party that ran until noon. This is how it went.
Night One
After Hours
Before anyone walked in, the room was already personal.

The Gift One of One |
Twenty seats, and every single one had a name on it. Customized HOKA boxes ran down the spine of the shop, custom sprayed towels waited on every chair, and the all new Clifton Pro sat staged on plinths under the neon like the guest of honor it was.
The Herd curated the room the way they do everything, with intention. Runners, creatives, founders, community leaders, the people shaping Miami right now. Dinner came from Sweetgreen. The music never stopped, with Safe (@SameGangSafe) holding it down all night from behind the Herd Haus crates.

One table, one conversation |
The guest of honor |
The heart of the night was one table and one conversation. The Herd spoke on the why, the community, and the work happening beyond the miles, and the room hung on it. Then the boxes opened. Name on the box, charms on the laces, totes sprayed live on the spot. Nothing off the shelf.
Miami Passport set up a studio in the corner with one backdrop sprayed for the night, and every guest stepped in with their pair and got their editorial moment. The outtakes might be the best part.
Day Two
One morning,
two things at once
A race with real stakes, and a community run for everyone else.
|
$250 The Race Plus Clifton Pros and a head to toe HOKA kit for first. It looked as serious as that sounds. |
5K The Community Run Over the causeway. No clock, no pressure. Just you, the shoe, and the miles. |
2 MI The Walk Room for everyone else, because showing up counts the same. |
By 8AM the lot was a sea of black tees and yellow caps.
The block was transformed before the sun came up. The giant Clifton Pro out front, the stage stacked on crates, the race board up, custom Run It Back bibs pinned on, and run crews rolling in deep from the jump.
The aid station turned into a full water gun ambush and nobody ran past it dry. Every finisher broke the Herd flag like it was Olympic tape, confetti in the air, megaphone going, hugs at the line. Nobody finished quietly.

Then The Block Took Over
The miles were in the bank
Slab Daddy held down the grill with smashburgers going all morning. Run It Back cups flowed from the Bonsai coffee truck, with Cadence and Essentia on ice everywhere you looked. Flip cup on folding tables, dance circles between rounds, cold plunges with the fits still on, because a Miami July 5K earns you the ice.

Flags up, crews deep |
Every corner was activated. Run It Back murals on the walls, the 305 stage, Our Market and Mental Gardens set up inside, DJs outside. The flash tattoo table stayed busy all morning and the grills station kept pace molding custom gold teeth. ABSTRK sprayed custom name totes with a line that never quit, and the smoke flares turned crew photos into album covers.
"It's been a year since we started our journey with HOKA, and since day one they told us to keep doing what we're doing."
